Agreement

By texting Utah Base, opting in to our SMS program, or using our website, you agree to these terms and our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

SMS program terms

You opt in by texting UTAH to our number from your mobile device. By opting in, you agree to receive automated recurring text messages from Utah Base about local news, events, and recommendations.

Message frequency varies based on your requests and digest preference. Choose daily or weekly morning digests during setup, or change anytime by replying 4 or DIGEST.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL. Reply HELP for assistance.

Service description

Utah Base provides automated local news summaries, event highlights, and recommendation-style responses by text message. Content is aggregated from public sources and generated to be helpful — not professional, legal, financial, or emergency advice.

We may change, pause, or discontinue features without notice. Do not rely on Utah Base for time-critical or safety-critical decisions.

Acceptable use

You agree not to abuse the service, attempt to disrupt our systems, send unlawful content, or use the program for harassment. We may suspend access for numbers that violate these rules.

Advertiser terms

Local businesses may purchase sponsored placement through our advertise page. By submitting a campaign, you confirm you have authority to represent the business and that your ad copy is accurate and lawful.

• All ads are subject to review before going live.
• We may reject or pause ads that are misleading, offensive, or non-compliant.
• Subscription billing is handled through Stripe; cancel per your Stripe receipt.
• Impression delivery is best-effort and depends on subscriber activity in your target area.

Utah Baseis provided “as is” without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes to the SMS program will be reflected on this page.

We retain your phone number and preference settings while you remain subscribed. If you opt out, we keep a record of your opt-out status to honor future requests. Aggregated usage data may be retained for service improvement.
